It’s time for Aktion Clubs to complete their entries for the 2017-18 Aktion Club Contests! Show off what your Aktion Club has done this year by entering one or more of the contests.
This year’s theme is ABILITY IN AKTION, and there are seven contests this year: Speech, Poster, Single Service, Scrapbook, T-Shirt, and new this year, Video, and Social Media. All contest entries must in some way represent the theme.
Speech: Discuss how you displayed your ABILITY IN AKTION with Aktion Club this year. Give examples of how Aktion Club helped you improve your ability to make a difference in your community.
Poster: Draw a picture of you or your club showing your ABILITIES IN AKTION.
Single Service: With fellow club members, tell about a service project where you showed your ABILITIES IN AKTION with your community service.
Scrapbook: With fellow club members, create a scrapbook showing your club’s ABILITY IN AKTION through the events, service and fundraisers of your Aktion Club year.
NEW CONTESTS:
Video: Take a short (2 minute) video showing your club’s ABILITY IN AKTION.
Social Media: Share how you showed your ABILITY IN AKTION on social media this year.
Remember to check specific guidelines for each contest in the contest booklet online at aktionclub.org. All New York District contest submissions MUST BE RECEIVED complete for committee judging in the hands of Jaimie Neuringer (21 W Squire Drive #7, Rochester, NY 14623) no later than August 10 (if mailed), or in hand at DCON no later than August 16.
