Governors Project

We hear a lot of good things clubs are doing, throughout the district, for our veterans. But that’s all -- it’s just verbal. Most clubs are not reporting their service to our veterans.
Everyone should know what you club is doing. There are some unique projects that are not being shared. Projects that may help enhance the health and good spirits of our heroes.
Don’t take for granted that what you do is done by everyone else. Some activities you may think is exceptional in your area only, may work elsewhere.
I'm sure we have all experienced blinder syndrome. What we have done for years is all that could be done. Your project may help remove the blinder and work well in other areas of the district.
Remember it’s the veteran we are here to serve. New thoughts will only help us help them.
This year Gov. Candace chose as one of her Governor's Projects, “No Veteran Left Behind”. Your club can receive a banner patch and certificate if submission form is mailed before Sept. 30. Mail completed form to: Deborah Romeo, 745 Titus Ave. Annex Bld., Rochester, NY 14617.
But don’t wait until the end of the year. We want to see what you club is doing every month. Work hard, report regularly and don’t forget our veterans.
