The new year is upon us, the first quarter of the Kiwanis Year is over. Think about this, did I help my Lt. Governor in gaining membership? Did I do my best to help send a military child go to Kamp Kiwanis?
I sit at my desk going over the figures. We have a pretty good start, not a great start a pretty good start. Our mission this year is to take our district from GOOD TO GREAT.
The First Lady and myself just returned from representing this great district at the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena California, where we rode on the Kiwanis International float. We gave International President Poly Lat our traditional crystal big apple. We gave the District of California-Nevada-Hawaii $500 in Home Depot gift cards from the great Metropolitan Division to help with the wildfire relief efforts.
You see we are all kind giving Kiwanians. What better way to help the children, get more members to join. Be distinguished. Let’s send these kids to our camp. They surely deserve it. At a time like this they will for the rest of their lives remember the week they had at Kamp Kiwanis. There is only one way we can go from GOOD TO GREAT and that is for the great to do good.
Let’s chip in and get these new members ... let’s get my Military Kids fishing and canoeing at our camp.
