2019 is off to a really great start. One of Governor Hank Baker's major emphasis is to increase club membership this year by offering an incentive. His plan is to extend Distinguished Kiwanian status to any club member in good standing who sponsors two new members during his term as governor.
As Kiwanis members we all know that bringing in one new member into our club takes effort, but it is so gratifying to give someone the opportunity to share that feeling of satisfaction knowing they will be making a difference in the life of a child and benefiting their community. Now, how about doing this a second time!
The good news is we do not have to wait until the end of the Kiwanis year to receive an official award certificate and Distinguished Kiwanian pin. Gov. Hank wants us to wear these beautiful pins proudly throughout the year.
When you have sponsored two new members be sure to fill out the application form, have it certified by your club president and secretary and mail it to me as soon as your members have been installed. If you are a member of more than one club you may sponsor a new member in each club. Just have the form certified from each club. I will be pleased to get your certificate and pin out to you as quickly as possible. Make sure to include your mailing address on the back of the form. Any questions please feel free to reach out to me at (516) 967-2375.
