New York District Aktion Club is participating in Governor Hank's project to send military kids to Kamp Kiwanis.
With more than 700 Aktion Club members in the district, all it would take is ONE DOLLAR donated on behalf of every Aktion Club member to send a military kid to Kamp. How you raise the money is up to the individual clubs. It can be direct donation or fundraiser, but it's up to you!
Please raise your funds during the Spring of 2019, and remit at least one dollar per member by May 15. Aktion Clubs who participate in this project will receive a banner patch, but ONLY IF they submit their donation with the form provided, and following the instructions on the New York District Aktion Club website (aktionclub-ny.org).
It's also time for Aktion Clubs to start working on their entries for the 2018-19 Aktion Club Contests! Show off what your Aktion Club has done this year by entering one or more of the contests.
This year’s theme is SERVING THE CHILDREN, and there are five contests this year: Speech, Poster, Single Service, Scrapbook, and new this year, Video. All contest entries must in some way represent the theme.
Speech: Discuss how you SERVED THE CHILDREN with Aktion Club this year. Give examples of how Aktion Club helped you improve your ability to make a difference in your community.
Poster: Draw a picture of you or your club showing your SERVING CHILDREN.
Single Service: With fellow club members, tell about a service project where you
SERVED CHILDREN with your community service.
Scrapbook: With fellow club members, create a scrapbook showing your club SERVED THE CHILDREN during your Aktion Club year.

Video: Take a short (2 minute) video showing how your club SERVED THE CHILDREN this year.
Contest deadlines and submission requirements are on the New York District Aktion Club website (aktionclub-ny.org).

If you’d like your club spotlighted, click the link and submit a few pictures, and some detail about what your Aktion Club does in its community. Submit pictures of your activities, and they will also be posted for everyone to see.
