My fellow Kiwanians, it was a great honor to walk on stage to accept this trophy on behalf of our Distinguished New York District, I as your Distinguished Governor and our very own Richard Hall as our Distinguished Secretary at the closing ceremony at KI convention.
Congratulations to all of you who worked so hard to make this happen. We are credited with 13 clubs plus a positive in members. It has been many years since our last success. I can not express the enjoyment and honor to serve as your Governor for 2017-18. Many of you worked diligently at my governors projects: Children with Special Needs and No Veterans Left Behind. You made that difference, once again as you worked hard at opening new clubs and increasing your club membership.
As we wind down in Gov. Hank's year, please let's get these new clubs open AND a plus increase of members so Gov. Hank could have the same honor as our next Distinguished Governor.
Hope to see many of you at our district convention in my home town of Niagara Falls. Our 2017-18 board will be holding our first annual dinner at our famous Como Italian Restaurant on Friday evening 4:30 p.m. Please contact our Board President Joel Harris for your reservation. Open to all of our committee chair people as well.
What a fantastic Kiwanis International Convention at Disney World with many educational workshops, meeting many of our worldwide Kiwanians once again. But the highlight of it all was when our very own Peter Mancuso was elected KI Vice President.
See you all at convention next month.
