Pediatric Lyme Disease

To My Fellow Kiwanians:
We are proud to announce that we will be hosting our very first gala celebrating 20 years of dedicated service to the Pediatric Lyme Disease Foundation on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Floral Park Terrace. Over the past 20 years we have approved approximately $ 900,000 in grants for the treatment and medication of a child with Lyme disease. We could not have given out this staggering amount of Grants with out you. Your generous donations made a huge difference in the lives of children stricken with this dreadful disease.
The stress and monetary worries families have to endure having a child with Lyme is insurmountable. A child affected with Lyme is unable to attend school on a regular basis, nor engage in normal activities with friends, they are affected physically, mentally and socially. Their families can't afford to pay the exorbitant medical bills accrued for specialized treatment, medication, numerous follow up appointments to their Pediatricians and frequent emergency room visits. Families have been broken up due to the immense pressure they face when their child is diagnosed with Lyme. Symptomatic children are exposed to numerous side effects from the medication and often times, their pain is relentless. We need to continue the fight for our children who are suffering from Lyme disease and take away some of the stressors the families and children have to deal with on a daily basis.
We need your support. Please find it in your heart to attend this gala and donate to this wonderful cause. Spread the word to your family and friends as tickets will be going fast. The cost of a ticket is $ 85 per person and to purchase a table of 10, the cost is only $750.00. There will be a full cocktail hour with an open bar, dinner, dessert, a live band with great music and dancing. We will have raffles, photo booth and favors.
