Candidate for Governor Elect

I hope that you, your families and friends are all safe and well.
I am a candidate for Governor-Elect for the New York District in 2020. In April of this year, I wrote an article that described my experience and qualifications for this position. Now, I would like to open a window into my vision and leadership thoughts.
I strongly believe in several key principles. To highlight a few:
* As to membership - we must grow. This is our lifeblood. When we add new members, we will change the lives of those on the receiving end of our community service programs for potentially decades to come.
* Service Leadership a.k.a. our children. We must support all related programs on a comprehensive basis. This focus expands to youth protection as well. Our children must be protected and so do our members from the legal risks associated with interacting with children. Aktion clubs fall into this same category.
* As for our foundations and their programs including Kamp Kiwanis, KPTC, and Pediatric Lyme Disease, all must be actively supported.
* I will be fiscally responsible with your membership dollars, recognizing the fiduciary responsibility I will hold to cost-effectively manage district funds.
I believe if I manage the areas listed above plus others, and do it well, it clears clubs' path to provide service at the highest level possible. Ultimately this is the foremost part of any governor's mission, to "grease the gears" by supporting clubs in any way possible.
One other point on membership. While adding members is extremely important, the quality of membership is equally so. I believe the membership experience has to be the best it can be. A member who is having a fulfilling experience is happier, motivated, and delivers more service to their community. Naturally, they then tell non-members about their wonderful experience who may in turn consider joining. How do we make the membership experience so? The tools at our disposal range from small things we may take for granted, such as having a flag present at meetings to planning newly themed fundraisers, making for fresh and interesting events! There are many other membership experience improvement tools. As Governor, I will strongly advocate to employ them.
I wish you all well during these challenging times. When we emerge from this pandemic, many will be in need. Kiwanis is essential to and will be on the front line of that recovery.
