Welcome to the 2020-21 Kiwanis service year.
This coming year will be unique in the history of our district. These difficult times present both challenges and, I genuinely believe, great opportunity for our organization to be strong and relevant.
Perhaps more then any other time in our lives New York State needs Kiwanis. The service we perform is vital. And as Kiwanians we also need each other more than ever. The sense of purpose, the ability to serve and the fellowship of our fellow members that Kiwanis provides can is so important. Together we can grow as an organization by tapping into the renewed sense of community and service we see around us. We may have to do things differently then we had to in the past, but we need to be flexible and forward thinking in how we meet, serve and interact with each other.
I look forward to working with Gov. Brenda Leigh and all of you to use every tool in our toolbox to help your clubs succeed.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Immediate Past Gov. Joe Ruggiero and his team for a job well done. I can tell you Gov. Brenda Leigh Johnson and her team is ready to hit the ground running to meet these challenging times.
As we close out this year of service let us remember there are still tasks to complete. Each club should ensure that all reporting has been completed, especially your club election report. This report is vital to ensure communication between International and District to your club. This report can be filed through kiwanisone.org portal.
Please review your club roster to make sure all the information is correct and up to date, especially contact information for your members. Any questions in regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact me. The district office is here to help you succeed in your service to our communities.
