We had a great mid-winter. As well as we could have. The boards of my year and this year were invited. Many chose to attend in person and those who stayed home were able to attend virtually. The event was also open to the entire district. I was happy to see many Kiwanians attending.
It was an honor to serve as governor for the previous year. Although we were cut short, I think we rebounded quickly. Many clubs found out how to have Zoom meetings and learned how to think outside of the box for their fundraisers. It kept us connected and allowed us to continue to serve our communities. It was one year ago that our lives were turned upside down but we are looking forward to continued success.
I am very proud of all my lieutenant governors. They continued to strive to tackle the difficult task that was ahead of them. Also, I am proud of all Kiwanians that continued to serve through this ordeal.
I was happy to acknowledge certain lieutenant governors who made an extra effort to serve and two lieutenant governors who performed at a very high level.
Please stay safe and let's all hope we can return to normal very soon.
