The keynote speakers for the General Session were Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, the couple portrayed in the movie "Blindside". They took in and later adopted a homeless teenager, Michael Oher, who is now a starting lineman for the NFL Baltimore Ravens.

When representatives of clubs which have pledged $100,000 to the Eliminate Project were recognized, they stretched across the stage. They received the applause of the audience and certificates from International President Alan Penn and Foundation President D. Hugh Siggins.
