Circle K Administrator John Keegan was the honoree at the 2019 District Convention in Niagara Falls.
A reception in his honor took place Friday evening and then a trophy was presented to him during the Opening Session Friday evening.
Keegan, often known simply as "Johnny K", has been the district administrator for Circle K, the Kiwanis-sponsored organization for college students, for 30 years.
The presentation included a video with comments about him from by former Circle K members, including former Circle K governors. Some comments noted that his impact has gone far beyond the district, benefiting Circle K world wide.
Kim Scharoff, who presented the video, noted that Keegan was appointed Circle K administrator for the 1989-90 Kiwanis year by her father, Steve Scharoff, and has remained in the post ever since.
A Kiwanian for 44 years, Keegan is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Floral Park.
