On Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, the Central Division hosted then New York District Gov.-Designate David E. Booker for the first of his Official Governor's Visits even before his year began.
More than 60 Kiwanians and friends attended the meeting in Old Forge, which was hosted by the Central Adirondacks club.
The event at North Woods Inn included a one-hour tour of Fourth Lake on Old Forge Cruise Lines Clearwater and dinner. During the meeting Fred Trimbach of the Old Forge Kiwanis Club was installed as the incoming Central Division Lieutenant Governor.
Representatives from Kiwanis Clubs in Boonville, Clinton, Frankfort, Lake Delta, New Hartford, and Westmoreland attended the event. Also attending this special event was the Key Club Lt. Gov. Peter Donnelly of Westmoreland.
