Downstate Dinner, May 5
Kiwanis International President Steve Siemens began his visit to the New York District with a stop at the KPTC at Northshore University Hospital for a tour of the facility followed by a luncheon. President Steve and First Lady Barb were whisked off to Long Island where divisions from Hudson River to Suffolk East joined to honor them. The dinner was The Sterling in Bethpage, with about 200 in attendance. The visit was also a governor's visit for Governor Dave for several divisions. During the meeting of the presidents and secretaries, President Steve's remarks (and his use of the EASY button!) included "Whatever it takes and then some ... JUST DO IT!"
