PREAMBLE:
The NY District Policy Codes dictates that the NY District shall choose its next candidate for International Office in the year in which NY has a Kiwanian serving as the International President. The policy codes dictate the procedure to be followed culminating with the House of Delegates endorsing our next candidate for International Office. In addition Kiwanis International, through Kiwanis International Policy Section 24 (e) requires that the candidate be endorsed at an annual or special district convention held within 12 months preceding a candidate's announcement to Kiwanis International.
Therefore, to comply with both the NY District Policy Codes and International Policy Codes, the process was followed in 2021-2022 administrative year where the District ultimately endorsed Past Governor Eric Paul as the next candidate from NY at the District Convention in Rochester, and in the 2022-23 administrative year at the District Convention in Corning. To now comply with the International Bylaws and Policies, we are presenting the following resolution to the House of Delegates.

Whereas: Eric Paul, a member of the Kiwanis Club of West Seneca, New York District, has served Kiwanis at the local, division and district levels, as District Governor during the 2014-2015 administrative year, and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the House of Delegates of the New York District of Kiwanis International, at its 107th Annual Convention on August 10, 2024, in Syracuse Marriott Downtown, Syracuse, NY endorses Eric Paul for election to the office of Kiwanis International Trustee for a 3 year term beginning October 1, 2025, at the 2025 Kiwanis International Convention.
