In the past, clubs were on their own when deciding how to go about creating a web site. That has now changed.
Kiwanis International is offering a free service which will allow your club to get on the web quickly and with no cost. It also does not require you to know how to program a site.
The KI option utilizes WordPress, which is the most common "content manager". It's been estimated that more than 400 million web sites use WordPress.
This option does not require you to have your own domain name, but does accommodate one if you do.
Here are examples of sites using the KI offering:

The first step is to apply to Kiwanis International for a site.
Once you get your credentials from Kiwanis International, you can go ahead and begin to customize your site.
KI is supplying assistance with this process:
The district conducted an online webinar on the entire process. It was recorded and can be viewed.
Having a domain name for you web site is not required. If your club has a domain name or would like to use one, it can be accommodated. There are instructions on the Training Site for how to do that.
KI sets up the sites using your club's Key Number so the URLs look like this: https://k03882.site.kiwanis.org/ with the K number being your club's Key Number. Searches on Google for your club's web site will work with this naming system.
Nancy Shaw of the Kiwanis Club of East Yonkers has been appointed the Club Websites Technical Advocate and is ready to assist New York clubs with getting started with the KI program.
