The Fordham K-Family comprised of over a dozen Kiwanians and Fordham Circle K members assisted future Builders Club members at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in the Bronx clean up their school grounds and flower garden. Scheduled for the first day in May after celebrating Earth Day, this was the first joint project undertaken in person since the start of the pandemic - a sign that it was time to come together, grab the gloves, shovels, rakes, and mulch, and make the school grounds more beautiful than they were in over a year.
Fordham Circle K President Li Ying said, "it was time to break the ice, restore nature's soil, and heal our souls as a family working together to make our garden grow." As a Fordham Circle K member and EMS volunteer for four years, Li Ying will be graduating and preparing for her career in medicine.
