June 14 was a very special evening for Lt. Gov. John Kle and the Long Island North Division hosting its annual Governor's visit.

The room was adorned with flags galore in honor of flag day and the New York Sanitation Department Honor Guard presented the colors. In addition a trumpet solo of America the Beautiful played by Cameron Carrela (lieutenant governor's son) added a nice touch to honor our flag.

Adding to the guest list was District Foundation Vice President Anthony Merendino who presented certificates to each club as a thank you for their support to Kamp Kiwanis. The North Shore Club also had a special certificate for member Leslie McCarthy for her 25 year dedication assisting their club for Kamp Kiwanis.

The North Shore Key Club was on hand as volunteers for the party by handing out flag lapel pins for flag day, escorting the guests to their table, and assisting with the distribution of raffle prizes to lucky winners.

Pictured of the festivities were provided by Immediate Past Gov. Joel Harris who always keeps his camera handy "Just In Case" for all photo opportunities for his division
