It was a great day in the North Shore Community with the North Shore Key Club hosting a food drive for the North Shore Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 27 at the Holiday Farms Grocery Store in Glen Head.
Food was colletect for the "Thanksgiving Drive & Give Away" event on Nov. 23 at North Shore High School. To assist the shoppers the Key Clubbers handed out flyers to all people as they entered the store to assist with the selection of food items needed.
At the end of the event more than 8 shopping carts were full of food and more than $700 was collected by the generous shoppers. This money was used to buy turkeys.
Later, on Dec. 14, Key Club members helped the Chamber distribute toys and food.
